Sodium Citrate Blood Collection Tubes are intended for the collection and preparation of plasma samples used in coagulation studies such as PT, PTT, and fibrinogen tests. These tubes are manufactured from transparent PET or glass, with caps made of polyethylene or optionally rubber based on customer requirements. The vacuum tubes, available in plastic (featuring a double-wall PET design to prevent dehydration of the sodium citrate solution) or glass, come with a blue color-coded safety cap and a rubber piston for secure sealing. The concentration of sodium citrate anticoagulant is either 3.2% or 3.8%, depending on customer specifications, and the blood-to-anticoagulant ratio is precisely maintained at 1:9. Tubes are offered in both sterile (gamma-irradiated) and non-sterile forms and available in various sizes to suit different laboratory needs.
